Ugandan Proposes Law to Jail Parents who Don’t Feed Children

The Ugandan government has proposed a new law that will subject parents and guardians who fail to feed their children to a six-month jail term or a $148 fine. The proposal is part of the Agriculture ministry’s new Food and Nutrition Bill, which seeks to ensure food security in the country.
