UN Chief Decries Increasing Violations against Children in Somalia

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has condemned an increase in cases of grave human rights violations against children in Somalia. In a new report, Ban says murder, rape, recruitment of child soldiers and denial of access to humanitarian aid, among other violations against Somali children, increased in the past year. The UN chief blamed both the interim Somali government and its Islamist rivals of responsibility. [P.E]
